Robert Parker: 91
"The superb 1998 Ermitage Chante Alouette is showing even better after a year of bottle age. A light gold color is followed by deep, concentrated notes of melted licorice, minerals, pineapple, quinine, and honey. It is a full-bodied, rich, dense offering to drink between now and 2005, cellar between 2005-2010, and drink again over the following 10-15 years." (Feb 2001)
