  • Similar to the legendary Gros family from Vosne Romanee, Morey family's significant land holding had been divided among family generations
  • Jean-Marc and Bernard split their father's holding (Albert) and formed their separate domaines; Bernard then retired in 2006, and further divided up his vineyards between his sons, Thomas and Vincent
  • You might instantly recognize this "cottage" label as Bernard Morey was prominently featured in "神之水滴" vol. 16
  • The last vintage by the legendary Bernard himself, this La Vide Bourse is at its prime drinking now!

IWC: 90-93
"Subtle, primary aromas of flowers, pepper and spice. Ripe, sweet and concentrated, with terrific acid balance hiding the 13.5% alcohol. Densely packed, strong wine with complex, very persistent flavors of white peach, citrus fruits, flowers, pepper and spices. These 80-year-old vines produced a full 50 hectoliters per hectare in 2006, notes Morey." (Sep 2007)

Burghound: 91
"Outstanding! Here the wood is no longer subtle and an attractive panoply of toasty orchard fruit aromas nuanced by subtle spice notes that can also be found on the rich, full, naturally sweet and broad-scaled flavors that possess outstanding depth on the palate staining and mouth coating finish. This is a big wine and while it won't win any awards for finesse, it does make a statement and importantly, remains impeccably well balanced. " (Jul 2008)
