"Subtle, primary aromas of flowers, pepper and spice. Ripe, sweet and concentrated, with terrific acid balance hiding the 13.5% alcohol. Densely packed, strong wine with complex, very persistent flavors of white peach, citrus fruits, flowers, pepper and spices. Here the wood is no longer subtle and an attractive panoply of toasty orchard fruit aromas nuanced by subtle spice notes that can also be found on the rich, full, naturally sweet and broad-scaled flavors that possess outstanding depth on the palate staining and mouth coating finish. This is a big wine and while it won't win any awards for finesse, it does make a statement and importantly, remains impeccably well balanced. " (Jul 2008)
