  • Why you should try: mature, Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru from a highly regarded winemaker

Wine is aged in French oak for 14-18 months, with only 20% new oak used. They place particularly attention to the wood of the barrel; the wood needs to go through 3 years of weathering, thus contributing to the elegance of the wine

Burghound: 90
"A scented, even perfumed nose of earth, crushed herb, spice and a hint of underbrush add inviting nuances to the very pinot nose that slides gracefully into delicious, round, pure and delineated middle weight plus flavors that possess slightly better ripeness and better finishing length as well. A lovely, understated Charmes." (Apr 2008)
