"From a bottle personally purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this medium-to-deep red/garnet wine was double decanted, allowing approximately four hours in decanter prior to funneling back into the cleaned bottle. The wine was then presented to our Friday tasting group in double-blind fashion. My taste was unblinded. With a complex bouquet of earth-laced plum, cigar box, saddle leather and cardamom, it follows with a medium-bodied, freshly acidic, softly tannic palate with similar flavors as for the nose. There is no heat from the wine's 13% alcohol and the middle palate shows good density. Medium-to-long and silky on the finish, this fully mature Bordeaux is strutting its stuff. It has enough residual stuffing to allow for a few more years of enjoyment. Drink now-2020." (Nov 2015)
