- Domaine Chauvenet-Chopin is known for their classic, delicate style of red burgundies—specifically their deep and complex, fine and supple wines from Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vougeots, and Chambolle-Musigny. Hubert Chauvenet began farming his family’s domaine in 1975. When he married Evelyne Chopin of Domaine Chopin-Groffier in 1985, they worked their families’ vineyard holdings together. For many years, Hubert worked alongside his father-in-law, Daniel, until Daniel retired in 1996. Continuing in the style of his father-in-law, Hubert is crafting classic wines with fine delicacy of fruit and rich complexity.
