Founded in 1761, Giacomo Borgogno remains as one of the most recognized and influential traditional Barolo producer. Borgogno Barolo is a blend of its best crus, including Cannubi, Liste, and Fossati. Barolo Riserva is only made in the absolute best vintage, such as this legendary 1982. On top, this is a Library Release – winery still has this rare (but excellent) traditional of cellaring great vintages and release to market after two decades.
JS:96 James Suckling: 96 "This is a superb old Barolo showing spice, cedar, meat and dried-berry character. Full body with chewy tannins and a long, long finish. Amazing." (Jan 2014)
