  • A three-star domaine as rated by Clive Coates, MW, probably the best domaine from Volnay
  • Michel Lafarge, one of the most experienced and respected winemakers in Burgundy, began making wines in 1949
  • He adopted a complete biodynamic approach in 1990s and has been consistently producing the most delicious wines from the area
  • Vendanges Selectionees means selective harvest - this would be a perfect and classic Volnay

Stephen Tanzer: 89
"Good full red. Deeper but less expressive on the nose than the Volnay. Then sweeter and deeper in the mouth, with slowly emerging nuances of spices and flowers. This boasts very good breadth and structure for village wine and will need a couple years of patience. Boasts a light touch for a 2007, and finishes with a sneaky earthy complexity and a truffley nuance." (Apr 2010)

Burghound: 88
"An almost invisible application of wood frames highly perfumed, pure and cool red pinot fruit that is in perfect keeping with the equally pure, supple, textured and beautifully detailed medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a linear and persistent finish. A stylish if not especially complex villages." (Apr 2010)
