  • Leroy, one of the best names along with DRC in Burgundy, no doubt
  • Understanding the great potential of this 1999 Bourgogne, she decided to hold in cellar 10+ years and only released additional parcel to market recently
  • As depicted in vol. 32 of 神之水滴, the wine is elegant, young and yet complex
  • Indeed truly bewildering (and amazed!) how great a Bourgogne can be even after 12 years

Wine Spectator: 87
"This mature red is marked by a whiff of cherry jam, followed by sweet strawberry and cherry flavors. Lively and fresh, with some woodsy accents. Has good length." (May 2007)

Burghound: 85
"An expressive and nicely complex nose that is now beginning to turn to secondary with earth and subtle spice nuances that complement rich, round and sweet flavors that offer good punch and while this will be capable of additional aging, it is essentially ready now despite the still moderately firm finishing tannins." (Apr 2006)
