"Medium-deep red. Brooding but perfumed aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, gingerbread and nutmeg. Thick and huge in the mouth, with a creamy, old-viney texture. Deceptively sweet today, but not yet especially complex. Offers impressive volume for the vintage, but seems less interesting today than the Mazis." (Mar 2001)
