"Soaked cork. Light ruby color. Nose of horse poop at first, then morphing into violets, anise, and raspberry. Piquant and sharp on the tongue with some real verve and intensity after about 30 minutes, revealing layers of red raspberry, black cherry, stone, and iron. Moderately acidic and refreshing, with integrated fine-grained tannins leading to a moderate finish of iron-laden reddish fruit. Really surprising in its persistence and ultimate purity." (Nov 2014)
