- Ramonet is one of the legendary producers of white Burgundy, probably the most sought-after estate in Chassagne-Montrachet. It has generated a keen following amongst wine lovers throughout the world. Some call him the Jayer or DRC of white Burgundy. Founded in 1930s by Pierre Ramonet, Noel and Jean-Claude Ramonet are the third generation currently running the estate. Les Ruchottes was Pierre Ramonet’s first vineyard purchase, back in the 1930’s. It is also Ramonet’s finest premier cru along with Caillerets.

"Pale straw-yellow color. Pear, white peach, minerals and oak char on the nose. Juicy, dense and penetrating, with a supple texture and an almost oily character to its lemon and lime flavors. Quite dry and bracing on the back end, with a crushed stone character giving the finish terrific lift and sneaky persistence. A terrific showing today." (Sep 2008)
